The problem with forage
Feed is the largest controllable cost in most livestock operations, and forage supply is fragile. Drought drives prices up, hay travels long distances, water and land are scarce, and winters rely on stored feed. On-site, controlled growing reduces all four exposures.
How the system works
Hydroponics, climate control, LED lighting and automated irrigation run the room. Labour is limited to seeding and harvest, and the AgTech SmartAPP provides production data.
What it means for the operator
| Water | Up to 90% less than field forage, supplied by on-site GTG generators |
|---|---|
| Land and season | A compact room replaces acres of forage, with a harvest every day of the year |
| Quality | Fresh, pesticide-free feed with seed-to-trough traceability |
| Supply security | Less reliance on trucked-in hay and volatile forage markets |
| Species | Cattle, horses, sheep, goats and pigs |

Water from the air
GHI systems use Green Technology Global (GTG) atmospheric water generators as the primary water source, condensing clean water from the air instead of relying on a well or municipal line. Production continues through drought, water quality stays consistent, and the humid grow room both suits the generators and lets crop moisture be recaptured. GTG models from 100 L to 10,000 L per day are sized to demand, with existing water kept as backup.
The offer
GHI's primary offer is a system the operator owns, delivered from scoping and design (including GTG water sizing) through installation, commissioning and training. Fodder As A Service is available for selected projects. The best fit is dairy, beef, equine, sheep, goat and hog operations facing costly forage, scarce water or unreliable supply.
